  “NOT GUILTY on all counts.” Those were the words I heard from the judge after the jury foreman handed him the verdicts forms. I was accused of a variety of charges, including felonies. My freedom and reputation were at stake. Thankfully, I hired the Criminal Defense Team. Andy Baldwin, simply put, is an unbelievable trial lawyer. When the prosecutor offered a good plea agreement, Andy took the time to review the case with me and gave me my options. He said he was willing to go to trial if that is what I wanted. He and his whole team are very intense but also very genuine. Over time, I met with at least three lawyers in the firm that had reviewed and brain-stormed my case together. When I told Andy that I wanted to proceed to trial he did not try to talk me out of it as a lot of lawyers might do once they’ve been paid. In fact, he said “now we just have to go win.” At trial, the firm’s newest lawyer Matt Price sat next to me. Andy expertly picked a jury and gave a terrific opening statement providing a roadmap for the jury as to why I was not guilty. He then tore apart the accuser on cross-examination. After Andy was done with her, she was a mumbling and stumbling mess. More importantly, the jury simply didn’t believe most of what she had to say. That is what the jurors told the attorneys after the trial. It was hard to believe that it was attorney Matt Price’s first jury trial. Matt sliced through the police officers’ inadequate investigation while cross-examining the lead detective, exposing the holes in the case. Some of the holes were obvious. Some weren’t. Matt did a great job of letting the jury see all of the problems with the investigation. Matt and Andy both provided a tag-team closing argument that was powerfully persuasive. In the end, it took the jury just less than half-an-hour to find me not guilty. I can’t say enough for this team – my team. They are as good as advertised, actually better. I could tell that they are respected within the legal community by the way that prosecutors and the judge and court staff talked with them – which also gave me confidence. I don’t even like thinking about what may have happened had I hired another law firm or lawyer. Thankfully, I didn’t make that mistake. Kudos to Andrew Baldwin and his expert team of legal representatives.
